DUROC pigs are the result of cross-breeding Landrace or Large White femaleswith Danish Duroc Danbred pigs. The result is a 50% Duroc pig with all the certifications to guaranteepedigree and traceability.

Pietrain-like performance pig with better infiltration and meat quality.

CONVERSIONAND PROFIT

Infiltration starts at80 kg and fat coverfrom 115-120 kg.

PROFITABILITY AND CONSUMPTION

Highly prolific pig with good feed conversion to compensate for higherfeed consumption.

FEED EFFICIENCY

Ideal slaughter weight: 120-130 kg.

FEEDING OF THE DUROC OLEIC PORK

Feeding is the key to our DUROC OLEIC pig. Their nutrition is studied at every stage of their development and isbased on promoting growth, strengthening the immune system and preventing disease.  Feed component formulation changes as their age and weight increases, depending on their needs at each stage. Oleic meal is the ingredient that allows a more fat-infiltrated meat, a marbled cut and a more distinct flavour to be obtained. This Danbred hogs has more fat content so muscles are more marbled and once cooked the meat more juicy.
