At Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods we believe that we have a duty to provide healthy food that has been sustainably produced.
This is why we support the circular economy by reducing our consumption of virgin plastic in our packaging
to encourage the use of recycled plastic and increase the use of recyclable plastic.
That’s the basis all our product development teams work on and it’s the aim we’re pursuing
with our roadmap to reducing our volume of virgin plastic by 25% reduction by 2025.

Grup Cañigueral has already achieved a 20% reduction in virgin plastic and our products now contain an average of 50% recycled plastic (2023). We are also working to reduce the thickness of our trays and films to exploit every opportunity to eliminate plastic.
